This A3-sized mandala artwork is a testament to patience, precision, and dedication. Created entirely freehand...without pencil sketches, tracing, or stencils...every detail was drawn directly by hand. The composition features 16,290 meticulously crafted petals, arranged to create a balanced and intricate design. Completed over the course of six months, the artwork reflects sustained focus, technical skill, and artistic discipline. The total number of petals, 16,290..also carries symbolic significance. When its digits are added together (1 + 6 + 2 + 9 + 0 = 18; 1 + 8 = 9), the result is 9. In numerology, the number 9 is widely regarded as a symbol of completeness, fulfillment, and wholeness, adding a meaningful dimension to the artwork's overall concept. More than a decorative piece, this mandala represents the harmony of creativity and mindfulness, demonstrating how consistency and craftsmanship transform thousands of individual elements into a unified work of art.

This artwork is a 100% hand-crocheted artwork composition created using 100% acrylic yarn and a 1.75 mm crochet hook. The piece showcases five expressive portraits inspired by Indian classical and traditional dance forms like khathakali, khathak, Kuchipudi, Bharatnatyam and Bhoota Kola meticulously crafted using the tapestry crochet technique. The artwork was created using seven different shades of acrylic yarn: Pale Yellow Bright Yellow Orange Maroon Brown Black Parrot Green Technical Specifications: Dimensions: 31.5 inches × 7.5 inches Artwork Grid: 300 rows × 75 columns Main Artwork Stitches: 22,500 Border Stitches: 3,750 Total Crochet Stitches: 26,250 Every stitch was crocheted by hand with careful attention to detail, ensuring accurate shading, facial expressions, and intricate visual depth. The project required exceptional precision, patience, and consistency to transform a pixel-based design into a seamless textile artwork. The artwork took approximately 15–20 days to complete, with an average of 4–6 hours of work each day, amounting to nearly 60–120 hours of dedicated craftsmanship. This creation demonstrates the artistic possibilities of crochet by combining traditional fiber art with portraiture, resulting in a unique handcrafted textile that celebrates India's rich cultural heritage through meticulous stitch work.
